Save Outlook Email Messages
Do you want to just save an Outlook email so you can open it whenever without necessarily opening Outlook?
You will find that if you leave it in the PST file format there is a chance that it will become corrupt and you will lose the email, so what is the best way to save it elsewhere?
Here are 2 options for you to save an Outlook email not in the PST format;
Save it to Desktop
- Open Outlook
- Hold down the ctrl key
- Click on the email and drag it to your desktop
- The message will now be in a .msg format
- You can now view the message whenever you want from your desktop as long as Outlook is installed on your computer (you don’t need to open Outlook to view the message either)
Save it as HTML
- Open Outlook
- Navigate to the message you want to save
- Click file – save as
- Select a name and location
- Click save
- Done
