What Format is Your PST File
As you may know all PST files prior to Outlook 2003 were a slightly different format to those PST files after, so if you want to find out what format your PST file is in you can do this;
- Open Outlook
- Open the file menu and click Data File Management
- Click the data files tab
- Find the file you want to check and click settings
- View the format field
- It will show format field one of two options
- Personal Folders File (97-2002) – This shows that your PST file is in the old format
- Personal Folders File – Shows that your PST file is in the new format
